Been Spinnin'

Music has always been a huge part of my life. I've played in bands since I was a freshman in high school and I've worked in multiple record stores, along the way accumulating quite the record collection. Traveling doesn't help the obsession either. I've definitely guarded a few prize records on a flight or six before. As anyone who travels for any reason (be it a daily commute to work or a cross country flight) knows how crucial music is to the trip. If you disagree, you simply can't be trusted.

At risk of sounding like a music elitist, I often get asked for recommendations. Music connects us, it brings us together. You could go to a show with someone who is close to a total stranger and if you both love the band or artist you're going to see, you'll be much better friends later that evening. In an attempt to further connect, I thought it might be interesting to share Spotify playlists on occasion. They'll be pretty riff heavy but that is certainly not a bad thing. It's got songs old and new, with some a little noisier than other. I hope maybe someone will find their new favorite album or at least enjoy the listen.
